Are Apple’s Plans for the iPhone 17 Slim Stalled?

Ana sayfa / News

With the highly anticipated iPhone 16 series launch just a few months away, new rumors have emerged suggesting that Apple might replace the iPhone 16 Plus with the iPhone 17 Slim.

Apple is rumored to be planning its biggest design change since the iPhone X with the iPhone 17 Slim. However, according to recent updates from analyst Ming-Chi Kuo on the X platform, Apple’s plans to release a slim iPhone 17 model, known as the iPhone 17 Slim, may face delays.

Kuo indicates that Apple appears to have postponed its plans to use Resin-Coated Copper (RCC) components in future iPhones. RCC components were intended to reduce the space required for internal components, allowing for thinner designs or larger batteries.

Resident Evil 7 didn't get the expected attention on iPhone. The performance of AAA games on mobile devices is debated.

However, concerns about durability and fragility seem to be leading Apple to delay the decision to use RCC components. Initially, RCC components were expected to be used in one of the iPhone 16 series devices but have now been pushed to the iPhone 17 series.

Kuo has not clarified whether RCC components will be used in the iPhone 18 series, which is anticipated to launch in 2026, or if this represents a long-term delay. Meanwhile, rumors suggest that the upcoming iPhone 16 models will feature some of the thinnest bezels ever seen on a smartphone.

Additionally, there are rumors that the iPhone 16 models will include M14 OLED panels. The iPhone 16 Pro and Pro Max models are also expected to offer notably fast wired charging speeds.
